Hello West Orange! I've been gathering petition signatures to run for West Orange Town Council for a few weeks now and am very excited by the reception I've been getting so far. Thanks so much to all of the folks I've spoken with - I appreciate hearing your concerns about taxes, the environment and climate change, the new library (and the old one!), our town budget, development and re-development, trees, and lots of other things that are on your mind. It sounds to me like we need a plan (or several)!
I'm running because I see a need for proactive leadership on our council. I have lots of topics to drill down into over the coming months, but they seem to all boil down to our need for pro-active leadership in town government. I can't wait to talk to all of you about planning for energy transitions, how we manage our finances, ways to benefit from the incredible assets that we own, and how we can ensure that we maintain the services and quality of life that makes our town the great town that it is.
I plan on visiting every corner of this town between now and election day on November 5. I would love to talk to you to hear what's on your mind and to let you know what I'm thinking about in terms of how our town government can be more effective in both the short and long term.
